yesterday, the pancake-haired-snaggle-toothed-bus-stop-guy offered me a faux-crystal plastic bowl , from his shopping cart, for me to "keep trinkets in" and i turned him down and said I didn't really need it. and he went on to say he'd probably give it to his sister who collects crystal, but not good crystal...cheap crystal. like walmart crystal.

and today. i felt bad. and i wished i'd said yes to the cheap faux-crystal plastic bowl.

normally we just sit and look at books together, that he keeps in his cart . pictoral books about Canada, or New Orleans. and he talks about all the restaurants or ranches or swamps he will visit.

i have a lot of trinkets.
